Summer Staff Positions
The Quaker Meadow Staff is an integral part of the mission of QM– to “win and train youth and adults for Christ”. All applicants should know that we have extremely high standards for moral integrity, for a willingness to humbly serve, and for a positive attitude. Hours are long and the work is hard, but the benefits are eternal and a summer on staff can be life changing (and very fun too!).
Application deadline is March 15. We plan to have our staff selected by mid April. Leadership applicants must be able to complete the core 8 weeks of summer without leaving camp (June 12 – August 16). We will consider Support Team applicant arrival and departure times on a case by case basis. Interns or volunteers will be scheduled to start after July 16 (see below).

Leadership Positions
The leadership team works closely with the manager to ensure that camp is running smoothly. These team members will have input on the general operations of camp and staff welfare. We are looking for spiritually mature, hard working, and responsible people to help lead and nurture the staff and campers. We will prioritize applicants over 18 years of age who have experience.
Assistant Manager: In charge of camp when manager is away, works with the manager to help oversee the day to day operations of camp. Priority consideration will be given to applicants over 21 years of age and with at least 3 years of experience working in a Camp atmosphere.
Head Cook: In charge of all aspects of food service, from helping to plan meals and order food to overseeing food preparation. Priority consideration will be given to applicants over 21 years of age, with at least 3 years of experience working in camp or commercial food preparation, and hold a food handlers certificate.
Facilities Director: Oversees the maintenance, repairs and general upkeep of camp facilities and the grounds.
Recreation Director: Oversees the safe operation of all camp recreation activities, including the zip-line, climbing wall, ropes course and rappel. This position is responsible for maintaining safe hiking trails as well as the daily cleaning of the Rec. Hall games and lake area.
Hospitality Team Director: Oversees the dining hall, staff lounge and dish room to maintain cleanliness and a positive dining experience.
Housekeeping Team Director: Oversees the program and staff buildings with general house keeping. Interfaces with the program staff to ensure a positive camp experience.
Store Keeper/ Office Assistant: Responsibilities include stocking, cleaning and staffing the store. The Store Keeper also handles campers’ temporary camp bank accounts and helps manage our office at camp.
Assistant Head Cook: Responsible for assisting the Head Cook during daily operation and assuming those responsibilities in the absence of the Head Cook.
Craft Director /Housekeeping Team Member: This position combines two daily duties 1) the person is responsible for the preparation, instruction, and organization of craft activities for campers and 2) helps the housekeeping team.
Launderer/Housekeeping Team Member: This position combines two duties 1) responsible for washing all of the laundry in camp and 2) helps the housekeeping team.
Lifeguard for Pool/Recreation Team Member: Must be a Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR Certified. The daily responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining the pool facilities and providing supervision during the pool’s operating hours and assisting the recreation team as needed.
Lifeguard for Lake/Recreation Team Member: Must be a Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR Certified. The daily responsibilities include maintaining the boats, enforcing the life jacket policy and providing supervision during the lake’s operating hours and assisting the recreation team as needed.
Media Technician/ Recreation Team Member: Job responsibilities include running the media equipment for all of the camps and serving as a recreation team member during off time.
Support Positions
The support team will report to their team leader for their daily responsibilities. We are looking for hard working, spiritually mature, responsible people that can work in a team environment. The support team members will receive $500 for the full 8 weeks from Quaker Meadow and the opportunity to raise another $900 in support from friends and relatives. Applicants can be 15 years old, but priority consideration will be given to applicants over age 16.
Facilities Team: Job responsibilities are centered around maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of camp facilities helps with recreation team when needed.
Recreation Team: Job responsibilities are centered around the safe operation of all camp recreation activities and cleaning, must have an outgoing personality. Experience preferred.
Kitchen Team: Major duties are to assist the Head Cook with preparing meals, serve food and keep the kitchen clean.
Hospitality Team: Members of this team provide friendly, efficient dining hall service by preparing tables, serving drinks, cleaning up, and running the dish room or by keeping the program and staff buildings clean and interfacing with the Program staff.
Housekeeping Team: Members of this team maintain the cleanliness of the camper and program staff buildings on a daily basis and assist in the store when needed.
Intern Positions: We will allow interns from July 16 – August 28. We require that the intern be at least 14 years old, mature and with a heart for service. If you are interested in interning, please proceed with the application process. Interns are unpaid.
