2005 Employment Opportunities The purpose of the Quaker Meadow staff is to operate and maintain Christian
camping facilities that provides the opportunity to bring families and youth to a high quality, well-organized,
Christ centered camp, to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and to be encouraged to grow in their Christian walk.
The staff motto is "Serving Royalty" and we take that to heart!
Application deadline is March 15. We plan to have our staff in place by early April.
Staff members will be required to attend orientation meetings as well as 3 days of training up at
camp prior to the start of the summer camping season (approximately mid-June). All applicants must be able
to complete the core 8 weeks of summer without leaving camp (June 18 - August 13).
Due to large camps this summer, we will not be allowing interns or volunteers until after August 15 (see below).
We have a variety of areas of service, including the following:
Leadership Positions
The leadership team works closely with the manager to ensure that camp is running smoothly. These team
members will have input on the general operations of camp and staff welfare. We are looking for spiritually
mature, hard working and responsible people to help lead and nurture the staff and the campers. We will
prioritize applicants over 18 years of age. Team members will receive $175-$350 per week with room and
board included.

Assistant Manager
|
(Priority consideration will be given to applicants over 21 years of age and with at least 3 years of
experience working at Quaker Meadow). In charge of camp when manager is away, works with the manager
to help oversee the day to day operations of camp. $350 a week
|
|
Head Cook
|
In charge of all aspects of food service, from helping to plan meals and order food to overseeing food
preparation. $250 a week
|
|
Assistant Head Cook
|
Responsible for assisting the Head Cook during daily operation and assuming those responsibilities in
the absence of the Head Cook. $175 a week
|
|
Store Keeper
|
Responsibilities include stocking, cleaning and staffing the store. The Store Keeper also handles campers'
temporary camp bank accounts and helps manage our office at camp. $250 a week
|
Craft Director / Staff Launderer
|
This position combines two daily duties 1) the person is responsible for the preparation, instruction,
and organization of craft activities for campers and 2) helps the housekeeping team. $175 a week
|

Recreation Director
|
Oversees the safe operation of all camp recreation activities, including the zip-line, climbing wall,
ropes course and rappel. This position is responsible for maintaining clear and safe hiking trails as
well as the daily cleaning of the Rec. Hall games and lake area. $250 a week
|
|
Lifeguard for Pool / Recreation Team Member
|
Must be a Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR Certified. The daily responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining
the pool facilities and providing supervision during the pool's operating hours and assisting the recreation
team as needed. $250 a week

|
Lifeguard for Lake / Recreation Team Member
|
Must be a Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR Certified. The daily responsibilities include maintaining the boats,
enforcing the life jacket policy and providing supervision during the lake's operating hours and assisting
the recreation team as needed. $250 a week

|
Facilities Director
|
Oversees the maintenance, repairs and general upkeep of camp facilities and the grounds. $250 a week
|
|
Camp Nurse
|
Must be a minimum of an EMT 2. Daily responsibilities include dispensing medication to campers and staff,
on call 24 hours for emergencies. $300 a week
|
Hospitality Team Director (Dining Hall)
|
(Dining Hall) Oversees the dining hall, staff lounge and dish room to maintain cleanliness and a positive dining experience. $250 a week
|
Housekeeping Team Director (Program Buildings)
|
Oversees the program and staff buildings with general clean up, and house keeping. Interfaces with the
program staff to ensure a positive camp experience. $250 a week
|
Support Positions
The support team will report to their team leader for their daily responsibilities. We are looking for hard
working, spiritually mature, responsible people that can work in a team environment. The support team
members will receive $500 for the full 8 weeks from Quaker Meadow and the opportunity to raise another $900
in support from friends and relatives. Applicants can be 14 years old, but priority consideration will be
given to applicants over age 16.

Facilities Team (2 positions)
|
Job responsibilities are centered around maintenance, repairs, and
general upkeep of camp facilities as well as duties that range from loading and unloading busses to
making a mud pit.
|
Recreation Team (2 positions)
|
Job responsibilities are centered around the safe operation of all
camp recreation activities, including the zip-line, climbing wall, ropes course and rappelling. This
team is responsible for maintaining clear and safe hiking trails as well as the daily cleaning of the
Rec. Hall and the lake area
|
Kitchen Team (3 positions)
|
Major duties are to assist the Head Cook with preparing meals, serve
food and keep the kitchen clean
|
Hospitality Team (3 positions)
|
Members of this team provide friendly, efficient dining hall
service by preparing tables, serving drinks, cleaning up, and running the dish room or by keeping
the program and staff buildings clean and interfacing with the Program staff.

Housekeeping Team (1 position)
|
Members of this team maintain the cleanliness of the camper and program staff buildings on a daily basis.
|
|
Child Care Position
|
The camp manager (Matt Lusk) will be hiring a helper for his 5 children for the summer (wife Jennifer will
be the primary caregiver). The children are ages 7, 5, 4, 3 and 2. The applicant must have child care
experience and go through the regular Quaker Meadow Staff application process. This person will receive
$100 a week with room and board (paid by the Lusk family).

Volunteer Positions
|
We will need volunteers from August 15- Labor Day Weekend. We require that the volunteer be at
least 14 years old, mature and with a heart for service. If you are interested in volunteering,
please proceed with the application process. Volunteers are unpaid.
